Recently OpenEd and TheLearningAccelerator have published Open LearningObjectives  on Github.com for others to use and examine - and even contribute! Learn about where this exciting work is leading and see results thus far as shown on OpenEd.com's assessment to instruction interface. Standards should be open, and ASN is a step in the right direction - but more finer grained statements of learning are imperative to have the right resources for the right assessment. As open assessment concepts take place, having the industry coalesce around a common set of learning objectives is key - and the Open Learning Objectives can be just that. 

Participants should be familiar with various standard sets such as Common Core and Next Generation Science Standards. Users will be able to find the Open Learning Objectives on Github and make a suggestion for additional standards or comment on current knowledge and skill statements. http://www.github.com/openedinc/openlearningobjectives
