openED SA is an initiative by joey lopez phd, an associate professor at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Tx.  openED SA conducts to initiatives simultaniously:

1.  Map out the art & technology resources avaliable for k-12 and community centers in underserved areas of the greater San Antonio Area.  Also Document & Publish quantitative data about each resource avaliable. 

2.  Create workshops and community enegagement components that engage k-12 and community centers that are currently underserved and not recieving supplemental resources.

The presentation would give a report on these efforts, as well as be a reflexive presentation where the presenters would solicit feedback and ideate with the audience on how to modify and further develop the initiatives to better serve the greater San Antonio area, as well as possible be implemented in other cities. 

Critical feedback that would be focused is how to implement both open source software, hardware and curriclum within the various initiatives in an effort lower barries to entry for both advocates and community engagers.
